# Installation

> Install and start Jig UI.

<Warning>
  Jig UI is not released yet. This is how it will be started.
</Warning>

With the [requirements](/requirements) in place, one command installs and starts Jig UI:

```bash theme={null}
npx @fapost/jig-ui
```

The package starts a placeholder page for now: it checks Node.js, serves a page on `127.0.0.1` and prints the address.

## Development channel

Every merge to the main branch is published under the `next` tag. To run the latest merge:

```bash theme={null}
npx @fapost/jig-ui@next
```

Plain `npx @fapost/jig-ui` runs the latest stable release.
